Dacite
is opaque to very slightly translucent. It's medium
gray to black in color and is slightly grainier
than glassy obsidian. It looks more like stone than
obsidian. The workability is almost the same as
the obsidian as well. This is a great choice for
the beginner to expert knapper. These spalls range
from 3-6 inches long.
